Watch as these two anglers catch a huge mess of big crappies from a permanent dock. When the bite is on, the bite is on.
Every angler searches for that special time and place where the jumbo crappie bite is on. It's then and there you can pull in one big crappie after another, and where everything you try seems to work. These anglers did just that, and they did it all from a permanent dock.
Fishing like this is just fun to watch, and many of these fish truly qualify as slabs.
Fishing from a dock isn't always efficient. You're stuck in one position, and if the fish aren't there, you're out of luck.
But apparently, this dock's on top of a honey hole, with underwater stumps and trees surrounding it. The fisherman also indicates there's a deep hole just off the dock, as well as a channel and an underwater ledge. It's the perfect spot for big schools of crappie.
He also talks about the rigs they used, but admits he could have thrown just about anything on a day like this.
Here's another great video of an angler fishing from a dock, but instead of crappies, he's after giant bluegills!
