Recoil control of your AR-15 is easily achieved by following these tips when you need to maintain accuracy with a high rate of fire.

As we continue the Armed citizen Series with America's favorite "black rifle" Kyle Lamb demonstrates how to maintain recoil control of your AR-15 when you need to put rounds downrange fast and accurately.

There you have it, it is all about proper stance and having a good cheek weld on the stock and the butt firmly into the shoulder. After gun safety one of the first things taught in elite shooting schools is the proper stance with the rifle.

Far too often you hear some tips that you should relax with that rifle in your shoulder; nothing could be farther from the truth in a tactical situation at closer ranges. You want a very firm grip of the gun, lean forward with your supporting footing back in what is called a fighting stance, and have the stock in very firmly at the shoulder and cheek while engaging a threat. The more control equates to less movement, keeping your sights on the threat for follow-up shots.

Practice your stance dry, with an unloaded and proven weapon, and when ready proceed to live fire on the range to better manage recoil control.
