According to news outlets, her husband reported her missing and claimed that she fell overboard before the current snatched her away. Now, the search efforts are ramping up as everyone still holds out hope of finding the missing American woman in the Bahamas.
Search Efforts Continue For Missing Woman In The Bahamas

Days after she went missing, authorities are still searching for the missing woman in the Bahamas. Lynette Hooker was last seen on a small boat with her husband on April 4th. However, People Magazine shared that Brian admitted his wife fell overboard and the current took her away. Now, the search efforts are ramping up as everyone still maintains hope of finding the missing woman.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force shared a statement detailing the search efforts. They wrote, "Since the incident, extensive search-and-rescue operations have been carried out by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, Local Fire & Rescue Teams, the Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (BASRA), and the United States Coast Guard."
Additionally, the searches have been conducted throughout various locations, including marine, land, and aerial searches. Despite their best efforts, the missing woman has yet to be found.
Is Foul Play Suspected?
So far, authorities admit that foul play is not suspected in the disappearance of the missing woman in the Bahamas. Lynettte's husband reported her missing and has been cooperating with authorities. However, not everyone agrees with this claim. According to PEOPLE, Lynette's daughter had something to say about the matter. When speaking to PEOPLE, Karlie admitted that she was "aware of prior issues that may be of importance in the investigation." Unfortunatley, she did not elaborate further on the matter.
Additionally, she admitted that if her mother's death was truly accidental, she could learn to live with it. However, in order for her to believe it was an accident, Karlie believes there "needs to be an intensive review of the facts and circumstances of this tragic incident."
