Ever Seen Bison Traveling by Helicopter? Now You Can

Bison have made a comeback to Banff National Park in Alberta Canada and the final journey was by helicopter.

16 bison were re-located from one area of Alberta to Banff National Park in a huge logistical and conservation effort to return a wild herd to an area that has not seen the animals for more than a century.

The bison will be kept in an enclosed valley and then let loose the summer of 2018 to roam a vast area of public land.

Conservationists and visitors to the park will once again be able to see these animals in their natural state, and biologists will monitor the herd's movements using radio collars.
