100 Best Places to Fish in the USA Chosen in Celebration of Abu Garcia's 100th Anniversary

There's a new list of the top 100 place to fish in the USA, brought to you by the famed fishing company Abu Garcia.

Abu Garcia is well-known in the fishing space, and for good reason. Their longevity is the sort of thing other brands strive for, proven by their 100th anniversary being celebrated in 2021.

To kick off their triple digit birthday accomplishment, Abu Garcia has released their list of the top 100 places to fish in America.

The list doesn't specify a single species, but instead focuses on all-around quality, accessibility, and public recognition. The Abu Garcia Top-100 Fisheries list includes both natural and man-made lakes, along with certain rivers and specific stretches across 38 different states. Abu Garcia says "all of them known for delivering the quality, quantity and species of fish most sought after by Abu Garcia loyalists."

Who did the selecting? The brand says it was a group of fishing-industry experts ranging from pro anglers to high-ranking fishing organization leaders, and even includes a fish behavior researcher.

"The truth is, whatever fishery makes an angler excited to be fishing, that's the top fishery in the country. But the fisheries on the list, especially those in the Top 10, really separate themselves from the rest of the group for different reasons," said Abu Garcia Senior Vice President of Marketing Jon Schlosser. "In a country full of amazing angling opportunities from coast to coast, these are the places that really shine. It's on these fisheries and others like them where new anglers will experience the kind of success that propels them to a lifetime of fishing, and where necessity will drive innovation so that the next 100 years of Abu Garcia history is as celebrated as the first 100 years."
