Japanese Illegal Whaling Caught on Film By Australian Authorities

whaling

Illegal whaling by the Japanese is a big industry and is being met head on.

The whaling footage your are about to see contains graphic images and may be disturbing for some viewers. However, this illegal activity continues to be a big industry in this region. Australian authorities were able to capture this footage of a Japanese vessel in action.

As you can see harpoon guns are used to impale the whale and bring it boat side where it is then hauled on board. As hunters and fishermen we understand the importance of hunting in a sustainable and manageable way. With whale populations declining, it is important that activities like this be addressed before the ramifications become to great.
