You'll Be a Hot Commodity with This Homemade Flamethrower

If you've ever felt the need to bring the heat, then this homemade flamethrower could be just the project you are looking for.

Last week we showed you a sneak-peek at a new homemade flamethrower; now, we're happy to see that the finished product has arrived and we are not disappointed. This do-it-yourself contraption sits comfortably on your back and is capable of shooting flames a distance of at least 20 feet. Take a look at the finished product below.

Of course just because you can build something, doesn't mean you should. This DIY flamethrower is a good example of that theory. We do tend to agree with the idea that the flame is unlikely to travel back up the tube and cause the entire pack to explode, that is just one of the many problems that could be presented. A big one we noticed was the dripping flame that kept catching his gloves on fire and could just as easily be your pants or shoes.

In theory, this is great! In practice, it's still great, but does the risk really outweigh the reward? To us, probably not.
