Talk about a major mistake. Allegedly, a woman decided to burn her boyfriend's clothes in a BBQ pit on her apartment balcony. Well, unintentionally, that fire decided to spread further than just her lover's clothing. She unintentionally set fire to the entire apartment building and caused serious damage, not to mention putting many lives at risk.

PEOPLE shared the details surrounding this interesting situation. Apparently, the woman and her boyfriend were involved in some sort of "domestic disturbance." As a result of that disturbance, the woman decided to burn her boyfriend's clothing in a BBQ pit on her apartment balcony. However, there was a problem; she had an issue with keeping that fire contained to just her BBQ pit.

A statement released by the Harris County Fire Marshal shared that although she did try to put out the fire, it "later rekindled and spread to the building." It was no small incident either. The Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue shared some of the devastation that happened as a result of this BBQ fire. The fire spread to other apartments, leaving "13 units heavily and irreparably damaged."

As a result of this dispute between her and her boyfriend, this woman allegedly accidentally set fire to the entire apartment building.

Fire Consumes Entire Apartment Building

Fox 26 reported that all 13 of those apartments were damaged by either fire, smoke, or water. The damage was so intense that the second floor ended up collapsing onto the first floor. After all was said and done, the woman was charged with reckless arson. Additionally, reports indicate that she was taken to the hospital, although it is unclear why.

Also, a firefighter was transported to the hospital. Luckily, they seem to be in stable condition. Many people shared their surprise and grievances about the situation online. Here are some of the comments left under the Facebook posts sharing details from the incident.
