Any one who frequently hunts big game out west is familiar with the threat of larger, more dangerous predators. East of the Mississippi River, hunters don't have to worry about much beyond black bears and coyotes, neither of which pose much of a serious threat to humans. Things are simply different out west, though, as not only do still have each of those predators, but you also have to worry about mountain lions, grizzly bears, more variants of rattlesnakes, and wolves. Unsurprisingly, hunters worry about wolves more than just about every other predator, as they move in packs and corner their prey in a way that can feel unescapable. Here we see a group of elk hunters who see their hunt turn scary in a hurry, as a pack of wolves starts to move in on their spot, surrounding them from all angles.
As exciting as elk hunting is, throwing in a pack of wolves is enough to send anyone packing up their things and calling it. How do you think you'd react to this situation?

There were quite a few wolves that showed up to investigate. Unfortunately, we don't know how exactly this ended, but we can confidently say it was time for elk hunting to take a back seat, and more likely than not, this guy definitely had some sweaty palms and jittery nerves.
Here's to hoping he got out safely!
