Who Knew the Fishing Was So Good in Downtown D.C.?

Washington, D.C.: not a place many anglers would consider a hot fishing spot.

The following video just might change your mind. FYI: A few expletives get thrown about throughout the video.

The setting is the Potomac River, not far from Reagan National Airport. The weather: overcast and cool. Not what most anglers would consider ideal.

Add in being close to D.C., and the chances of success seem remote. However, the two anglers in the video haul in several nice bass, from a couple pounds up to more than 5 pounds.

But the highlight of the video starts at around the 10-minute mark. That's when the videographer's jig gets hit and he starts hauling in something huge.

It turns out to be a 24-pound blue catfish.

Imagine that. Of all the things you could catch in D.C., seems like you can catch some pretty good fish.
