Man Shoots .50 Cal in His Living Room on a Glass Table

Will this glass table hold up with a .50 cal fired on it?

The internet has opened up all sorts of unique shooting experiments on YouTube, especially with the legendary .50 caliber. So, it was probably only a matter of time before someone decided to try shooting a .50 cal inside their house. That's just what YouTuber Eric Pettway does.

To make things even more nerve-wracking, he's not wearing hearing protection, trusting the suppressor on his Barrett .50-cal to do its job.

Oh, and he's shooting off a glass coffee table!

You know you're nervous when you completely forget to chamber the round. We can't blame him! Shooting a .50 cal indoors off a glass table is a nerve-shattering experiment!

Also, can we just talk about that suppressor? I know it's hard to tell how loud it actually is in an internet video, but the fact he didn't immediately grab his ears in pain testifies that is one amazing suppressor!

Our hat's off to you Eric, that was one brave experiment! We're glad to see the coffee table and his hearing both survived. Although we're sure the gunpowder smell lingered around for a day two, it's a small price to pay for such an incredible experiment. However, none of us should try this one at home...
