Doing it yourself is almost always the cheapest way to go.
A few days ago, we shared a video by the Crazy Russian Hacker where he unpacks a $200 pre-packed survival bag. While that looked like a fairly nice product, maybe you don't want to spend that much for an emergency bag.
Or, maybe you don't have the money to put into a pre-made kit. Maybe you just want to put the whole thing together yourself. Check out this video by Survival Lilly where she shows us what she put into this kit for roughly $100.
Lilly has some good suggestions here for building a survival/camping kit on a real budget. It's not a bad idea to do what she suggests and just slowly upgrade the items over time.
Having a kit like this on hand isn't a bad idea for anyone. Disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes can leave you unprepared and a kit like this is better than none at all. Thanks Lilly, for showing us you can be prepared on a small budget.
