Video: One Heck of a Close Call for This Kayak Angler

This could have turned out bad. Really bad.

We're seeing more and more close calls or boat-on-boat crashes these days, the majority a result of excessive speed and not operating your craft appropriate to the conditions you are faced with. We'd say the following video falls under this category.

As you're about to see, a peaceful day on a narrow stretch of water is suddenly interrupted by a speed boat hurtling on the scene. And if it wasn't for said boat taking evasive action at the last moment, chances are this kayak angler could very well have ended up dead.

Here's the scary footage. Warning: Strong Language 

Talk about one heck of a close call! And no, we're not sure either how these guys intend to get their speed boat off of dry land.

The kayak angler posted the following message on his YouTube channel:

"This is what happens when people don't take care in their boat! I completely understand the enjoyment from clowning around. But, there is a time and a place. It is never okay to travel at this speed in narrow water, especially when you don't know what's ahead! This could have ended in significant tragedy. Thankfully the boat veered to avoid me, but they could have been seriously injured themselves. Slow down and take care on the water!"

Well said, mate.
