This cougar quickly figures out he chose the wrong dance partner to spar with.
The tale of the tape would lead one to believe a skunk is no match for an apex predator like the cougar, but wait one second. As we all know, the skunk has one secret stinky weapon that gives him the victory in almost any battle.
Greg Shyba shot the following footage as he drove along the edge of Tsuu T'ina Nation Indian Reserve No. 145 near Calgary, Alberta. You definitely don't see this everyday.

We don't know whether the skunk needed to resort to chemical warfare, and truth be told, in most cases they don't have to. The bold and contrasting coloration of their pelt is warning enough that they shouldn't be messed with.
Score that one skunk by unanimous decision.
