Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Hockey Sticks for Fishing Rods in Florida

The Toronto Maple Leafs enjoy a bit of downtime in the Florida sun and score big on some fish of the saltwater kind.

With a few days of down time before a game against Florida on March 14, five Leaf players decided to bond while out on a boat - working the expansive Miami waters for some 'eager-to-bite' saltwater locals.

The crew included Mitch Marner, Josh Leivo, Morgan Rielly, Leo Komarov, and Tyler Bozak - and judging from the pics posted to Instagram, these Leaf players are equally at home with either a hockey stick or fishing rod.

Mitch Marner posted this great shot to his account:

The team did go on to lose 7 - 2 to Florida that Tuesday night, but bounced back with a 5 - 0 win against Tampa Bay two days later. But, consistency never has been a strong suit of the Leafs.

All kidding aside, it's great to see team bonding amongst the young players like this. Especially when it involves fishing.
