The Often Under-Appreciated Bluegill Catch and Cook

Hands down one of the best fish to catch and cook.

Bluegill often go under-appreciated as a sought-after game fish. It is a mystery to me that more people don't seek out this great fish. They fight hard, taste great, and you can catch plenty of them.

It's that easy. If you have kids that you want to entertain on a hot day take them to a dock and let them pull in bluegill all day. I can also say from personal experience that Slim Jim are a good bait for bluegill. As are wax worms or cut night crawlers.

The recipe is a little different, but I'd be  willing to try it. As a personal preference, I would slice the fish fillets to allow the seasoning to get into the meat. However you would lose out on some of that juicy greatness that makes this recipe interesting. Eating the eyes is completely optional.
