Well there are many ways to attempt setting up a treestand.
These guys certainly are having a really hard time with it all.
YouTuber Bobby S shared a treestand setup video that will give you the cold sweats. This is what happens when you try to set up a treestand with friends and everything goes wrong.
With one guy up in this ladder treestand and one guy holding the ladder, another takes video for posterity. Unfortunately, it appears the ladder might have not been close enough to the tree. A guy in the stand starts bending the top right off the ladder section. The guys on the bottom think it's hysterical. The guy up top, well, not so much.
This fall, make sure you set up your treestand carefully, maybe with the help of some friends. Just make sure it's not these friends.
