Taylor Drury Arrows Massive Iowa Buck

After gracing trail cameras exclusively at night for roughly four years, this giant finally showed himself in the light.

The team from Drury Outdoors had first seen this buck on her father Mark Drury's Iowa farm when it was only about 2 1/2 years old. They'd see it waltz in front of their cameras, but only in the middle of the night.

Taylor has certainly learned a lot about hunting from the family business, which features two greats in Mark and her uncle, Terry Drury. She's also the only female member of the Drury Outdoors team, for whom she works as the social media manager, and also a member of the award-winning show, THIRTEEN. If that wasn't enough, she's also a college student.

So, when her camera captured a daytime image of the buck Oct. 21, she knew deer hunting would have to take priority over everything else. So, she and a few of her teammates were able to set up a double Muddy stand near where they thought the buck was bedding.

They then decided to go back and take care of scent, as the wind was fairly inconsistent.

Around 6 p.m., Taylor spotted something. It wasn't just a big buck, but rather the biggest buck she'd ever had a chance at with a bow. It was bigger than any of her Missouri archery bucks, bigger than her Texas buck from last year and even bigger than her 184-inch Iowa buck from October 2016. This 6-1/2-year-old buck would score a whopping 185 6/8 inches.

According to the journal that recounts her story on druryoutdoors.com, a doe actually detected Taylor and took off before there was a shot on the monster buck. But the buck apparently didn't let up and came within 22 yards of Taylor, whose PSE Stealth Carbon Air bow was at full draw.

She was definitely excited with her harvest, calling it the "buck of a lifetime" in her Facebook post.

Congratulations on such a beautiful deer, Taylor!
