This fly fishing in Montana with river wading and float trip will make you want spring to get here faster.
Winter months are a classic time to tie flies in anticipation of spring. This is also a great time to take stock of your gear, perform maintenance and fill any gaps in your equipment. It is also primetime to do some planning for that next big fishing adventure.
You can often get some great deals on outfitter trips and destinations by talking to guides and services in the quiet months. In these last two months a buddy and I have put the finishing touches and planning on a brook trout fishing trip in northern Canada; truly one of those bucket list destinations.
There is also the advantage that you can head to your local fly shop and take advantage of their low season deals on waders, rods and gear.
Use winter wisely and to your advantage to get ready for spring and summer trout fishing.
