Dancing Snake Caught Jamming to "Proud Mary" by CCR

You never know when the mood will strike, as evidenced by this dancing snake!

One minute, you're a regular old hognose snake, slithering along in the dirt and minding your own business. The next minute, you're a reptilian dancing sensation, busting out your smoothest moves while "Proud Mary" by Creedence Clearwater Revival plays in the background.

Hey, sometimes you just can't help yourself happens, and this little guy certainly couldn't help but pause and enjoy this all-time classic. Check out the video below!

What a talented little fellow! And for those of you who are worried about the snake, don't be.

Zach Wood, the man who shot the video, said:

"The snake is NOT injured. This behavior, along with playing dead, is very common with this type of snake. Soon after the video the snake went away into the brush moving as any other normally would."

When threatened, hognose snakes have a variety of ways to deter predators. They will sometimes flatten their neck and raise up to strike like a cobra, but rarely bite, earning them the nickname, "puff adder." They are rear-fanged and while they are venomous to frogs and toads, they are harmless to humans.

Apparently, breaking out the "dad moves" is another helpful tactic!
