Rick Hendrick Takes Delivery of First Production 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Chevrolet's fastest and most powerful Corvette is now in production, and Rick Hendrick is the first among many future ZR1 owners to take delivery with a huge smile on his face!

Back in January, NASCAR team owner and Chevrolet dealership owner Rick Hendrick paid big bucks for the right to the first production version of the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The car was built earlier this month, and Hendrick took delivery of the high-powered 'Vette at the National Corvette Museum before taking laps at the NCM Motorsports Park.

Hendrick's ZR1 is a gorgeous black-on-black convertible with a black top, black aluminum wheels and red brake calipers. Inside, this beauty has the 3ZR package with a black-and-red interior, competition sport bucket seats, red seat belts and the Performance Data Recorder.

The first production ZR1 was part of a charity auction at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale. Hendrick paid $925,000 for the right to this special ZR1, and the entire hammer price benefited Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation that supports wounded veterans. A stock 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe starts at $119,995, while the Convertible starts at $123,995.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was introduced last year with a supercharged LT5 V-8 cranking out 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque. This engine and the other vehicle modifications help the ZR1 reach a top speed of 212 mph. Chevrolet says that the new ZR1 is the fastest, most powerful and most advanced Corvette ever!
