Passenger Threatens To Never Fly This Airline Again After Being Served Abysmal Meal

I am sure we have all had our qualms with certain airlines for one reason or another. Whether it's the lack of legroom, price gouging, or just a general lack of hospitality, we have all been there. However, I think this one passenger was thoroughly justified in his complaints about this particular airline. Additionally, like most people today, he decided to share his grievances online with the rest of the world. Now, this passenger is threatening to never fly this airline again after being served the most abysmal meal.

Oisín Breen held nothing back as he told the world about the "world's worst sandwich" while aboard his latest flight. After receiving the abysmal meal, Breen is contemplating never flying this airline again. What is this airline in question, none other than Aer Lingus. So what constitutes the world's worst sandwich? Unfortunatley, it had many different factors. First and foremost, the size was laughable. Breen took a photograph of the said sandwich next to his thumb, and it was barely bigger than his appendage.

Maybe I am just greedy, but when I imagine a sandwich, I most definitely picture something larger than my thumb. As if the outer appearance weren't bad enough, the inside of this meal was horrendous as well. The NY Post shared that this sandwich was supposed to be a "cheese and relish sandwich," the vegetarian option of the meal on the flight. The only problem is that the sandwich was lacking both cheese and relish. So not only was it miniature, but it lacked the proper fillings.

When describing the sandwich, Breen had this to say. "The relish was spread on one-fifth of one side of the bread," he recalled. "Essentially, you got a corner of relish, and the cheese was unpalatable and just one miniature slice. "So dry bread, a faint mist of relish, and ghastly cheese." So dry bread, no relish, and unpalatble cheese...no wonder this man is debating writing off this airline.

The Response

Although the flight attendant initially did not give much thought to the matter, she later agreed that the abysmal meal was the most horrendous thing she had seen. Breen shared that she chuckled upon seeing the joke of a sandwich and said, "I'm sorry about that, you can't help but think where's the rest of it gone, right?" I am sure that was one of many thoughts jumping around Mr. Breen's head at the moment. Additionally, an Aer Lingus spokesperson shared their sentiments on the matter.

"We regret that due to an issue with our catering supplier in late December, our second service offering on this flight was not our usual standard," they said. "We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this temporary issue, which has since been rectified." While I am sure the apology is appreciated, I doubt it will change this passenger's mind about flying this airline again.
