Is This One-Horned Moose Itchy, Friendly, or Something Else Altogether?

You'll have to watch to decide whether or not something is wrong with this one-antlered moose.

Moose are one of our favorite animals. Why, we just don't know, but the proof's in the pudding: they are altogether one of the most photographed animals out there. They are also one of the most dangerous creatures in North America.

Here's one that seems to have an issue that can't quite be explained:

There is no question that you should keep your distance from such a large wild animal, but this guy can be seen petting his 'little' buddy, even scratching him on the chin.

So what's this young bull's problem anyway? At about 1:56 left in the video you can see the stump of the antler he lost. Did he shed it and now he's itchy? At about 1:20 left he starts rubbing the lone 'horn' on a tree.

The fellow taking the video then grabs him by it and helps the moose off the ice. The only problem is he's grabbing a sharp, double-pronged instrument that's attached to a... moose.

Friends, do like Bill Dance says: "Don't do that."
