Watch the Lengths This Guy Goes to for This Small Stream Fish

There's got to be a better way to catch a small stream trout!

Fishing in New Zealand is the pinnacle of many trout fishermen's careers all over the world. However, that's not always going to be possible for many of us. With that in mind, thankfully there are people like jensenflyfishing who can show what it's like. Not all of New Zealand is big mountain streams and low valley rivers. There are many small stream fish to be caught as well.

Just check out this video and see for yourself what we are talking about with these small stream fish. Hooking them in one is one thing. However, catching them is something else entirely.

Instead of waders, the fisherman in that video would have been better off with running shoes. You would think there was a better way to handle a situation like that, but when big trout want to run, there is little you can do to stop them.

In a big river, trout can run in any direction. However, when that small stream is the size of a single lane road at best, the only direction that fish can go is up or down stream.

When that happens, you better be ready.
