GoWild Making Moves with Addition of BASS Pro John Hunter as Chief Strategy Officer

Your next favorite hunting and fishing app is getting a whole lot better.

If you follow professional fishing at all, you're probably familiar with John Hunter. As a 2016 Elite Series rookie, he made a lot of waves on the circuit and his arrow is only pointing up. Now, he's using his fishing as a platform to get into the social app game with GoWild. As recently announced, Hunter is taking over as the chief strategy officer of the company.

In a brief interview following this announcement, Hunter was quick to point out a few of his favorite features.

"GoWild takes into account everything we do in the outdoors. It gives you a score based on what you do in the outdoors," he said. "Its algorithm takes into account when you go out and catch and three-pound bass, an all day sit for deer, and then checking your trail cameras on your way out. It all rounds into a score."

Hunter said he was also a big fan of the app's Trophy Room feature. With this, all the pictures of your fish and game are kept in one easy-to-find place.

There are already some big moves currently on the horizon. The plan is to have this app available for Android by the spring. Some other updates will let the app know where you are through geographical location settings.

"By spring, this app will be a different place," Hunter said. "It's already cool, but it's about to get even more cool."
