They say a 30-point buck is the ultimate prize in deer hunting. Well, then there's this giant buck.
An absolute freak of a giant buck has just been taken down in Mississippi. As you can see from the pictures, this thing just isn't normal.
According to sources close to this area, they think the rack got so big due to lack of testosterone in the deer. Due to this condition, the rack would never harden and fall off, but always stay in velvet and grow.
Regardless of how the rack got so big, the hunter who took this massive deer had been watching the rack grow for the past four years. This year though, it was time to pull the trigger.
Stan Ethredge is the lucky hunter who tagged this once-in-a-lifetime deer. As he told the Clarion Ledger in an interview, he saw this big deer on camera last year.
However, as the trail cam photos showed, it never dropped its antlers like normal deer. Instead, the antlers just kept growing into what you see now.
Apparently this lack of testosterone condition isn't that common, but it's not that uncommon either.
Have you ever seen anything like this in your neck of the woods?
