From Field to Plate: What Happens After the Shot?

In SliencerCo's latest film, we get a look at what happens after the shot when wild game chef Jeremiah Doughty takes an Axis Deer from field to plate.

If you are a hunter, then chances are you enjoy eating wild game, and if not, then you probably aren't doing it right. Wild game can be the most delicious meat there is, if you take the time to cut, prepare, and cook it properly, and there are a ton of benefits to having it over store bought meat.

Take a look at the short film below from SilencerC, which follows Jeremiah Doughty as he takes an Axis deer from field to plate for us to see what this looks like for him.

While you might not have the natural instinct to cut and prepare your harvests quite as well as Doughty has done this one, remember that it's a process. Do your research, decide what you want to cook and figure out the best way to do it. There's no rush and you can even work on recipe building in the off-season so you know exactly what you want to cook from the animal you are hunting.
