Early Signs Point to an Awesome Dove Season in Texas This Year

Looks like another stellar dove season for the lone star state!

Last year was the first time Texas offered a 90-day long season for doves. Well, there's some good news for hunters who were thrilled with that.

It's happening again. In fact, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is predicting very good things for the season this year.

Before you get your shotgun ready, check out their recent forecast in the video below.

A combination of minimal drought and excellent rainfall means more birds in the skies this fall. With 10 million white-winged doves and 30 million mourning doves, that's plenty of birds to go around! And the extra days to go afield will definitely help during busy fall schedules.

I guess it is true what they say, everything is bigger in Texas, even dove hunts. Good luck this fall Texas hunters!
