Remember What Happened When This Guy Went Bass Fishing During the Eclipse?

Apparently the solar eclipse helped get the bass biting!

You had to be living under a rock to not know about the recent solar eclipse back in 2017. Perhaps you even found a little time to sneak outside on a Monday and catch a glimpse of this rare event.

YouTuber Flair decided to film a little bass fishing trip before, during and after the eclipse. The results make for an interesting story.

The effects of the moon on fish and animal activity have been highly debated for years. Some hunter and anglers swear by moon phases to schedule their outdoor activities. Of course, most probably don't factor in solar eclipses because they happen so infrequently.

But it definitely appears from this video that the eclipse did trigger a sudden flurry of surface feeding activity.

Whether that's proof of the moon's effect on fish or not is probably up for debate. Still, it makes for a really unique and interesting fishing trip! In case you want to try this, your next chance will be in 2024, so there's plenty of time to plan ahead!
