Inside the Magic shared the details surrounding the two major closings happening at Disneyland next month. The Southern California theme park spoke out on February 16, announcing the closings to come. The two attractions that will be closing are the Disneyland Monorail and Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. In regards to Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, many guests are hoping it is just another refurbishment. The outlet shared that the ride previously went under refurbishment at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Slight changes were made to the ride, such as switching Jessica Rabbit from a helpless victim to an engaged detective. So far, reports have not indicated what exactly the ride is closing for. While the park did announce that the attraction would "shut down for scheduled refurbishment on March 30, 2026," the details surrounding it have not been released. Therefore, guests are unaware whether it is closing for routine maintenance or if there will be another major upgrade. Therefore, it is unclear when the attraction will reopen.
Additionally, the Disneyland Monorail has also announced its closure. The outlet shares that the beloved Monorail system will be closing the same day as Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. The outlet shared that Disneyland "recently filed construction permits for its historic Monorail system." These permits include upgrades to support pillars and electrical work for the Monorial. However, like with the other attraction, there is no reopening date yet for this attraction.
Of the two major closings, the Monorail will definitely impact Disneyland guests more. Without that mode of transportation, guests will have to find another way to travel the 2.5-mile journey between the Downtown Disney District and Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.
