Campfire Apple Bourbon Cobbler Recipe: A Delectable Fall Treat

But, the ingredient that makes it just may be the couple tablespoons of bourbon. Don't worry. It won't become a boozy cobbler (unless you want it too!) The bourbon brings out the existing flavors in the apples and spices, giving the filling a warm taste.  The apple cobbler is topped with granola and crisped over the campfire. Campfire Apple Bourbon Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2-3 apples, sliced 1/4-inch thin
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Apple pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granola

Recipe Directions

  1. Melt butter in skillet.
  2. Add apples, and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add apple pie spice, brown sugar, and bourbon, and cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Top with granola and whipped cream.
