Cali Surfer's Camera Captures a Great White Swimming Behind Him

What's it like to see a great white swimming behind you?

When swimming alone near Bluffs Campground in San Onofre State Park, California, a surfer captured a great white swimming directly behind him on video.

Check out this unbelievably scary clip.

Did you see how close he was to the shark before turning around? It was about ten feet away when he saw it. This is the closest this surfer had ever been to a great white shark, and it was too close for comfort.

Apparently this was the fifth shark this guy had seen in two years. If nothing else, this video should illustrate the importance of the buddy system. Always go with someone or have someone know where you will be, just in case.
