Berkley Fishing

Berkley is Sending Santa to One of These 5 Places for a Fishing Trip

This unique event from Berkley Fishing will feature a big donation and a visit from the Big Guy.

Berkley Fishing knows how much we all love fishing, including a certain someone who's got his busiest night of the year coming up soon.

Santa Claus, a big angling fan himself, apparently asked Berkley for some help in determining where he should spend some time, post-holidays, doing his favorite leisure activity. The winning city will see a visit from you-know-who, plus a generous donation of up to $25K, meant to go towards the completion of an area fishing conservation project.

After gathering entries and choosing the finalists, the list was cut down to these possibilities for the December 27th arrival of St. Nick:

  • Hartwell, GA
  • Huntsville, AL
  • Springfield, IL
  • Panama City Beach, FL
  • Long Beach, CA

Here's word from Berkley:

After careful review of all the fantastic fishy places submitted across the world, Berkley and Santa have created their list (and checked it twice) of the top five fishing spots in consideration. Each town was chosen based on its submission, with many boasting about their tight-knit communities, the amazing fishing, and a clearly identified need for conservation funding or a special fishing access project in need of support from Santa and Berkley.

Santa is asking everyone to vote for the best fishing spot from now through December 12 here. And because Santa never stops giving, every vote includes an entry for a chance to win a Berkley prize package worth more than $500! The winning town will be announced on December 14.

Where would you like t go for a post-holiday fishing trip? This list is great to choose from; here's hoping Santa catches a big one!
