A mom and toddler have sadly died after a tragic lightning strike. Now, a grieving father is trying to pick up the pieces. Kameron Glasgow was walking with his wife, Kenya, and daughter Kennedi in Florida.
They arrived at his aunt's house in Margate. A storm arrived in the area, and the family tried to rush inside. That's when lightning struck the two, killing them.
"I was right there. I got the actual aftershock from the ground," Kameron said. "And to turn around and see your wife and daughter there, lifeless, even worse."
Lightning Strikes Family
Sadly, despite CPR by first responders, both died from the lightning strike.
"I just lost my best friend. My daughter just lost her best friend," Kameron posted. "My babies didn't suffer. I'm hurt. We are hurt, but if you've gotten the chance to feel that beautiful light my wife and daughter brought into your life, cherish it. It's there for a reason. It's going to be tough to lose somebody I've been with for half my life. It's going to be tough, but I'll be ok because I have to be. I have another beautiful daughter that's inside there. But for her to lose her sister, words can't describe that feeling."
Meanwhile, a neighbor named Prince Moody opened up about the storm and lightning. The neighbor went to investigate the incident. That's when he saw the aftermath of the lightning strike. Both mom and child were dead.
"My son said to me, 'Hey, Dad. I think somebody got hit. There's a lady on the floor,'" Moody told the outlet. "And I'm like, 'What? No way. Stop, man.' And he said, 'No, look.' As I get closer, there's also a toddler lying a couple of feet from the mother. It's a scene that I never want to see again."
