No one loves long flights. Between breathing the recycled stale air and the limited leg room, it can be a burden. People have all sorts of tips and tricks to help manage their mindset and make the long flights bearable. However, some people's tips are more out there than others. Recently, a pilates instructor received significant backlash after she shared her advice on how to survive long flights.
Pilates Instructor Receives Backlash For Her Insane Tips
I am all here for the tips, especially when it makes flying a bit less heinous. However, these tips should not be at the expense of others' comfort. For example, although we all want to stretch out, I doubt the person in front of us wants our toes sticking out from under their seat. This pilates instructor seemed to miss the memo that there are other people on board the flight with her.
When sharing her tips on how to survive a long flight, she showed her specific stretching routine. In a TikTok video, she shared that she had been flying for 10 plus hours and that her tailbone was uncomfortable. Therefore, she opted to turn her back against her husband in the middle seat and prop her legs straight up against the wall for some relief.
While the position seemed to bring relief to the pilates instructor, many commented on the strangeness of the position and the potential disturbance it could cause. Additionally, many people argued that if you need to stretch or get comfortable, you are free to get up and walk about the cabin to get the blood flowing.
