Watch This Kansas Game Warden Free a Buck Who Fought a Hammock and Lost

Watch these game wardens free a buck caught in a hammock.

One of the signs of fall we look for here at Wide Open Spaces is the inevitable rescues of bucks that have gotten their antlers hopelessly tangled in something by accident.

And one of the first tangled deer rescues of the year just happened in Kansas. Watch this game warden risk a swift kick from the buck’s hooves in order to get the animal free.

Video of one of our Game Wardens freeing a young buck caught in a hammock in Pottawatomie County this week. Good work sir getting this guy back in the woods where he belongs.

Silly bucks. Always picking a fight with something they can’t possibly win against! It is interesting how there are times you can tell the buck must know this guy is here to help.

These Kansas Game Wardens sure do like showing off their deer-rescuing skills. Last year another warden freed up two bucks that had their antlers locked with a well-placed shot from his Glock.

We don’t know the name of the warden who made this rescue, but we just want to congratulate him on a job well-done from all of us here at Wide Open Spaces!
