Wrestlemania Week: 8 Pro Wrestling Personalities Who Love Hunting and Fishing

Here are some pro wrestling personalities who love the outdoors as much as we do.

Known as the "The Showcase of the Immortals," Wrestlemania is set to go down in Orlando, Florida this Sunday. With the Super Bowl of professional wrestling shows on our minds, we rounded up a list of stars of the squared circle, both past and present, who also just happen to love the outdoors as much as we do.

Some you may know, but some of these names may also surprise you.

Dwayne Johnson; aka: "The Rock"

Granted, "The Great One" doesn't do much in the ring these days. He's far too busy making movie after movie with an extremely packed schedule. But when he does find time to relax, he loves to spend time fishing, either on his private lake or out on the open ocean. Who would have thought?

Steve Austin

The Texas Rattlesnake went through a lot of gimmick changes throughout his career, but he eventually became a household name by portraying what basically amounted to the most stereotypical redneck ever.

It seems his real life persona isn't too far off from that character either. Steve spends a great deal of time on his Texas ranch hunting and preparing for the season these days, and often posts his adventures on his social media channels. He even has a line of knives branded off his Broken Skull Ranch.

Shawn Michaels

The Heartbreak Kid truly is a lover of just about all things outdoors. And in recent years he hasn't been shy about showing it either. Hunting and fishing photos can regularly be found in his social media channels. He's even starred in his own hunting show, MacMillan River Adventures on Outdoor Channel.

Sounds like a good way to spend retirement to us!

Dusty Rhodes & Goldust

The American Dream may be gone, but his legacy lives on. And he loved the outdoors and deer hunting in particular. It's a love he passed on to his son Dustin Rhodes, aka Goldust. In fact, after Dusty passed, his son spread some of his ashes at one of his deer stands.

Goldust, who's still wrestling with the WWE, posted the touching photo above during last fall's deer season. How cool is that? RIP Dusty!

Eric Bischoff

Travis Smola

The man who made World Championship Wrestling into a powerhouse had an on-screen persona that would be easy to mistake for a city slicker. But Bischoff is really a country boy at heart and splits his time these days between Wyoming and Arizona, where he spends time fishing, hunting, and horseback riding.

It was in the classical old west town of Cody, Wyoming that I actually ran into Eric once and had a short conversation about hunting and fishing. And while his on-screen character was a often a real jerk, I can testify he's actually a really nice guy!

Eric Young

The Canadian wrestler spent the majority of his career in TNA (Total Nonstop Action) where he won a world title before coming to the WWE's developmental program, NXT in 2016. But he also loves the outdoors, especially fishing. And for a short time he even had his own extreme angling show on Animal Planet.

Brock Lesnar

The crossover wrestling and mixed martial arts star will headline Wrestlemania this Sunday in a WWE Universal Championship match against Goldberg. While he's best known for demolishing people in the ring or octagon, he likes to spend his down time deer hunting.

Yes, we know wrestling is all staged, but these guys still have a rough job constantly being on the road away from friends and family most of the year. It only makes sense some of them like to kick back and relax in the sanctuary of the outdoors.

After all, that's what we all enjoy right?
