Watch This Shooter Nail a 4,549-Yard Shot in Texas

You really need to see this guy connect on a 4,549-yard shot on video to believe it. It's truly incredible and an impressive display of marksmanship.

After previously hitting targets at 3,600 yards, 3,800 yards, and 4,210 yards over the past couple of years, shooter Jim Spinella broke his on personal record with this ridiculous 4,549-yard shot. That works out to just over 2.5 miles!

Jim used a Hill Country Rifle Extreme Long Range Tactical chambered in 375 CheyTac, mounted with a Nightforce ATACR 5-25X56 scope and shooting a custom load of Bertram brass and Warner Tool Flatline 361 grain projectiles. The whole thing was captured on video down on the FTW Ranch in Texas on October 29, 2016.

It took a few shots to get on target, but with the help of a team of experienced spotters, Jim was able to hit an 8x8' board with a 45" red bullseye a total of four times on two separate occasions: twice on Friday evening and twice Saturday morning.

While 4,549 yards is some incredible shooting, that's far from a record. Indeed, both Bill Poor and Paul Phillips have successfully made shots at 5,280 yards and 6,000 yards respectively during 2018 and 2019.

That's not meant to take anything away from Jim in any way. After all, hitting targets at that range requires top notch equipment and an unbelievable amount of skill.

Congratulations on the great shooting and keep up the good work! I can't wait to hear about the next long range shooting accomplishment!
