Watch the All-Electric Mercedes-Benz EQA in New Promo Video

The futuristic and all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQA working prototype cruises through the Silician countryside in a new promotional video.

First unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show, the Mercedes-Benz EQA will represent the second EV offering from Mercedes-Benz after the EQC SUV hitting the market in 2019. In our view, this is putting a new spin on electric vehicles by depending on more than just a fancy EV engine. Just check out the skills of the smart German electric concept touring through Sicily.

The Future Has Arrived

The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQA is defined by a tinted shield and its grille depicts an LED virtual nose panel that changes color based on drive mode, flanked by blue accent lighting and an illuminated logo. No shots were taken of its interior.

On the spec side, the concept EQA sports twin electric motors, powered by a 60 kWh battery for a 250-mile range and the choice of two driving modes - standard all-wheel drive on Sport or Sport Plus. DC quick charging is also capable of 60-mile rapid charging in 10 minutes for the battery pack in the electric concept.

In all, Daimler AG has indicated aggressive all-electric vehicles plans, promising 50 electric initiative models, including 10 electric vehicles including a compact EV, by 2022, with the goal of global electric car sales topping 25 percent within the next seven years. The EQA concept should help give it a boost.
