Video: This is Why So Many People Are Afraid of Australian Wildlife

Australia is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and maybe the most dangerous. Here's why.

Australia probably gets an over abundance of bad press when it comes to it's indigenous animal population, but when you see some of the homegrown things that crawl under appliances, lay eggs on the wall, and cross the road right in front of you (sometimes hitting you in the process) you'll understand why the Land Down Under seems to be too dangerous for those of us who can only read about it.

The fact remains that the Aussie landscape is spectacular and has a variety of beauty that can only be described by traveling to its shores.

It is also a fact that it may have the most creatures on earth that can and will bite, sting, and possibly eat you in a heartbeat.

Massive spider egg-sacks on the wall, goannas in the kitchen, and crocodiles crossing the street are the just the beginning! How about a kangaroo that lunches you right off of your bicycle?

While Australians take these things as a normal part of everyday life, the rest of us may never stop thinking that a snake might be waiting for us in the next drawer that we open... or above us in the rafters.
