Video: Nailed It! Highest, Straightest Bowfishing Shot You’ve Ever Seen

Here's one bowfisherman with an eagle eye!

Once we learned to use a compound bow and found out everything it could do, we were determined to find other uses for it. Since deer season only comes around once a year, and your bow is getting dusty, it's time that you discovered a way to make a bow fishing kit out of it.

Now things like common carp, grass carp, and especially invasive Asian carp were the enemies. It wasn't long before other species came available to target such as the venerable gar family.

Enter one bowfisherman that has his sights set on one from the top of a reservoir and what you get is the shot of the day! Big fish come in all shapes and this fellow just made fish sticks out of this one. Here's how you make great use of some good archery equipment:

I'd like to see that done with a recurve bow, but somebody out there would school me and do it! From big game to bighead carp, the archery sports are in our blood.

The only thing missing from the footage is the outdoor cooking video.

Make sure you use some good spectra line and a solid reel and you'll be making fish sticks of your own before you know it!
