Here is how the Desert Eagle L5 stacks up to the other models.
You'll generally get two differing opinions when it comes to Desert Eagles. Some people absolutely despise them, and others love everything about them.
You can put YouTube gun guru Demolition Ranch into the latter group. He buys not one, but two new Desert Eagles, including the L5 chambered in .357 Magnum. He doesn't just like it, he loves it. He compares and contrasts all the different models in the video below.
It seems they tried to address some of the complaints often associated with Desert Eagles in the design of the L5. A .357 is obviously going to be a lot easier to handle than .44 or .50 AE. They even tried to address the complaints about the Desert Eagle's weight by cutting it from every unnecessary area. One thing that hasn't changed, though, is the price. These guns are still very expensive, retailing for around $1,500.
Matt is obviously sold on this newer Desert Eagle, but will it win over the critics of these guns? I guess only time will tell.
