SIG P320 XCOMPACT

SIG SAUER Adds P320 XCOMPACT to P320 XSERIES

The SIG SAUER P320 XCOMPACT offers a redesigned grip module, among other new features.

When SIG SAUER decided to add to its P320 lineup, it was looking to offer more than just a new barrel length. The P320 XCOMPACT also employs a new-and-improved grip module with a refined beavertail and fastback profile, a deep trigger guard undercut and a contoured magazine well.

"The P320 XCOMPACT redefines what a compact pistol should be by combining concealability with full-size XSERIES features," said Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Sales, in a press release. "Through extensive end-user feedback, the P320 XCOMPACT provides for smoother handling and optimizes the user experience. This expansion of the P320 series of pistols also adds to the unprecedented modularity, and depth of options available to the consumer already available with the P320 series."

Here's a breakdown of the XCOMPACT straight from SIG SAUER:

Sporting a 3.6-inch barrel, the P320 XCOMPACT comes chambered in 9mm with X-RAY 3 day/night sights and an optic-ready XSeries slide compatible with Romeo1 PRO, Romeo2 and Deltapoint Pro rear sights.

It features a flat X-Series trigger for a 90-degree break, as well as a three-point takedown that doesn't require a trigger pull. It also boasts a striker safety and a disconnect safety.

The gun has an overall length of 7 inches, and overall height of 5.3 inches, an overall width of 1.3 inches wide and a sight radius of 5.5 inches. It weights 25.3 ounces with an empty 15-round magazine, and it comes with two.

The P320 XCOMPACT was a hit at SHOT Show 2019, so we'd expect to see this particular gun stick around for a while.
