Remington Returns: New 2019 Models Help the Brand Bounce Back

These are the newest Remington firearms models released since the company filed for bankruptcy last spring.

It's been a year since one of the most famous American gun companies filed for bankruptcy, but Remington Arms has risen from the proverbial ashes to produce several new models of firearms.

They're not only bringing new guns to the bolt action rifle space, but also shotguns, handguns, and other styles under the DPMS, Bushmaster, Marlin, and Dakota Arms brand names.

For starters, check out this sizzle reel from the 2019 SHOT Show, which was where Remington gave all their new models the ultimate spotlight.

You don't have to look too deep to realize that New York-based Remington is still meant to be thought of amongst the best of the best gun manufacturers in the United States, but maybe these will help you along.

Remington Model 700 Magpul Enhanced

It's almost as if they were listening... The newest Remington 700 is a collaboration with Magpul for a great tactical gun with the sort of accessories we'd want to add anyway. The Magpul Hunter stock and Magpul M-Lok mount and folding bipod add a lot to an already capable rifle.

Remington Model Seven Stainless Steel HS

It's compact size has always been its main feature, but now the Model Seven is getting the HS Precision treatment, with a custom stock and free-floating 20-inch barrel. Take this one up into the mountains or wherever you need a lightweight, super accurate rifle in .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Rem, or .243 Winchester.

Remington Model 783 Variants

The venerable 783 has seen a lot of attention, leading Remington to unveil several new variations of the rifle that's as well known for its lower cost as it is for its reliability. A Varmint, Bushmaster, and HBT style will hit the market, plus a version with a synthetic Mossy Oak Break Up Country stock.

Remington R1 1911 Tomasie Custom Edition

Remington looked to the creative eye of Travis Tomasie for the custom 1911 in .40 S&W. A match-grade bull barrel, a beavertail grip, double stack magazine that fits 18+1, and adjustable LPA sights round out an awesome competition handgun.

Remington V3 Shotgun Variants

A Remington V3 can be found in shotgun cases around the country, for a bunch of different uses. Now there's a Turkey Pro, Tac-13, and Waterfowl Pro version, as well as a Compact style with a 21.5-inch barrel. Remington's going niche with these, and it's a smart move.

DPMS Prairie Panther

An AR-15 platform that is slapped with awesome camo is always a step up, proven by the new Kuiu Verde and True Timber Strata patterned Prairie Panther. And with a name like that, how can you deny the coolness factor?

Marlin Model 336

The Marlin 336 is a famous gun in its own right, but when you enhance it with a B-grade curly maple and fiddleback stock and forend, you're taking the .30-.30 Winchester to new heights.

They may be still recovering in some ways, but as far as firearms companies go, Remington is doing what they're supposed to do: coming out with cool new Remington rifles and make a push for more gun sales. If a restructuring plan is applied to one of the oldest gun manufacturers in America, you'd expect no slow down in production. It's a good sign for the overall firearms industry that a gun maker like that can rebound.
