Donald Trump Donates First Quarter of Salary to National Park Services

President Donald Trump donates 25% of his salary to the National Park Service.

Donald Trump Jr. took to Instagram yesterday to announce that his dad, President Donald Trump, donated $78,333 to the National Park Service. See how Donald Trump Jr. captions the screenshot post of CNBC's tweet.

Here is a video of the presentation:

This news has been met with mixed reactions from Republicans as well as Democrats, as the President has proposed substantial cuts to the Department of Interior that aren't negated by this donation (the cuts would total about $12 million).

On the other hand, Donald Trump Jr. is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Throughout the campaign, Donald Trump Jr. made it clear that our natural resources are of major concern and focus. We had a chance to interview him about that very subject earlier in the election cycle.

Hopefully our natural resources and national parks will remain a concern and focus as Trump's term progresses.
