Disney World has been hinting at something new coming to its Magic Kingdom Park, and I genuinely cannot wait. Reports have been dropping about the park's new Villains Land, and Disney fans across the globe are getting more and more excited as the anticipation builds.
What We Know About Disney World's New Villains Land
The Wall Street Journal and the NY Post have shared details surrounding Disney World's new Villains Land and what guests can expect. The project was revealed in 2024 in a social media post. The post featured some of Disney's most iconic villains, including Ursula, Maleficent, Jafar, Gaston, and more. Along with the video montage of the villains and their epic moments, it also came with an exciting caption. The caption read, "? BREAKING ? Villains Land is coming to Magic Kingdom with two major attractions, dining at @WaltDisneyWorld! ?? #D23 #Horizons."
Naturally, guests are excited. This is even more so the case because this land is not set to focus on one particular film. Therefore, the Wall Street Journal claimed that it makes "it the closest thing to an original land in Disney's US parks in 25 years." Honestly, what is there not to be excited about? However, while this is exciting, it is no small feat. The land is expected to feature two major attractions and dining options.
There has been no set opening date for the park, but it is estimated to take years to create. Therefore, it is not expected to open until 2029-2030. So all of us Disney World fans have to sit back and patiently wait for its epic arrival.
