Archery Hunt for Brown Bear

Video: Alaskan Brown Bear Lured in With Predator Call

In this nerve-racking archery hunt, a couple of hunters manage to call in a brown bear.

Watch as Juan Garcia and master guide Sam Fejes manage to entice a massive Alaskan brown bear within just 12 yards before letting an arrow fly.

This dramatic footage, captured on Kodiak Island, Alaska, displays the intensity of a hunt for one of the largest predators in the world.

Watch the video below:

Similar to grizzly bear, Alaskan brown bears grow to gigantic proportions from feasting on salmon each year. Massive even for Alaska, this incredible bruin is currently the pending No. 2 Pope & Young Alaskan Brown Bear.

Though I've heard of hunters using predator calls to lure bears into shooting range, I've never actually seen it done before I saw this video. Maybe that's something I need to try out next bear season...
