This water moccasin is one bad dude!

ABC News brings us an up-close look at this giant water moccasin caught in Florida.

For all you folks who enjoy stepping through the swamp in the Sunshine State, this guy is your worst nightmare.

Check out the size of this thing in the video below.

Quick Catch, based out of Jacksonville, was called in to the Nocatee area in St. Johns County to remove the snake. It measured an impressive 5 1/2 feet in length and was just shy of the world record.

Experts suggest that this snake was most likely looking for dry ground during the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. If you run into a snake like this, be sure to notify a trained professional; don't try to handle it yourself. The last thing you want is to be on the wrong end of one of those critters.
