In this video shared on Facebook by Muhendislik Harikalari, you can see all the steps to building your very own hatchet. Starting with a concret cutting circular saw, blade this bladesmith cuts the outline of the hatchet. He sands down the blade to his specifications.
He then shapes the blade portion, makes handles and drills the holes for securing the handles on. Epoxy and pins secure the grips and he sands these down to perfection. Sharpening the blade he tests how sharp it is on his leg hair. With finish put on the handle this DIY hatchet is a work of usable art.
