A living fossil makes for an interesting YouTube video subject. Especially is you're Coyote Peterson.
Coyote Peterson has to live up to that name. Or nickname, I kind of doubt his parents give him that moniker. I could be wrong, I don't know.
Nonetheless, here he is examining a wild horseshoe crab, and he doesn't seem afraid at all! What about that spiky, spiny tail?! And those creepy, pincher leg things?! Why is he picking it up...?!
I especially liked the end, where Coyote was sure to mention how nice and friendly horseshoe crabs are. In fact, he said "one of the friendliest marine animals you can stumble upon." Is that true?
He's doing his part to make everyone a little more knowledgeable about the natural world around them, and that's alright with us. Even if it's also mostly for the sake of YouTube video views.
